WELCOME TO

BOYDS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH!

Welcome to Boyds Presbyterian Church!  We are so glad you dropped by to visit our website.  Building a sense of community is more important now than ever before as we face the reality of this COVID-19 environment that is around us. Though our buildings are closed, the church has been on overdrive praying, connecting in safe ways, and serving our community.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have or let us know any needs that you might have.  Again, welcome!

MISSION & BELIEFS

Mission Statement -

Connecting all to God’s love and grace.

Engage.  Nurture.  Serve.

After much thought and prayer and many congregational forums, BPC discerned a simple, but powerful mission statement- connecting all to God’s love and grace.  Connecting others with God’s grace and love is accomplished in many different ways, but mostly it is our behaviors that show this love and grace of God.  Our style of life, the ways in which we interact with each other, the words that come out of our mouths, and our acts of service all reveal God’s love and grace.  We aren’t perfect by any means, but we strive for following in the ways of Jesus in real and authentic ways.

Presbyterian Beliefs -

We are part of the denominational system of the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA).  For a more detailed understanding of our beliefs, please click below:

Dismantling Structural Racism -

PCUSA is calling all churches to dismantle structural racism.  There is a movement of the Spirit awakening many people to the daily injustices that people of color have lived with since the founding of our nation.  For more details, please click below:

UPCOMING EVENTS

Worship Online -

Each Sunday, join us as we worship God together virtually.

On the first Sundays of the month, bring some bread/crackers and juice/beverage to where you are watching the worship service and join in the virtual communion service. If you have other family members, gather them around the bread and juice and enjoy an experience of God together!  Pastor Carrie will guide us as we move through the service, while our worship leader, Jasper, will help us sing our hearts out at home.  Come, let us praise God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength!

Children's Story Time -

Each week, enjoy a new story read by Casey Sneliick that engages kid’s imaginations and helps them explore faith and life in God.  Please join us by clicking here and then click on the link for the story of the week.
